After months of hard work, the Fourth Annual NC Charity Golf Tournament came and went, raising $50,000 toward the MSgt Eden Pearl Build A House Project!

The weekend started Thursday with a cookout and silent auction sponsored by Gilligan’s. On Friday over 100 golfers teed off at Paradise Point Golf Course at Camp Lejeune.

Help Make a Wish - Make a Wish Mid Atlantic Region's

Walk for Wishes aims to raise money to grant wishes for children with terminal illnesses.  With the average wish costing $7,500, it takes a lot of people to come together and raise money for this amazing cause.

Hockey for Eden Winners!

Big congratulations go out to Jackie Albright and Lindsay Haase, the winners of PSC's Hockey for Eden challenge! Together, the two raised more than $3,500 for the Build a House Project benefiting MSgt Eden Pearl. As a result, the pair won 100 level seats to last nights Caps game against the Tampa Bay Lightning! The rest of the participants, and some lucky volunteers, were also rewarded with tickets for thier support of PSC!

PS Charities Donates $100K to GWU Breast Care Center Patient Assistance Fund

Each year PS Charities hosts a Silent Auction to raise money for the GWU MFA Breast Care Center Patient Assistance Fund. The fund provides support to patients meeting basic living needs -- like parking, childcare, and transportation. This year PS Charities contributed $100,000 to the fund. Founder LuAnn Dean with Executive Director Michael Chandler and Lead Volunteer Sam Penico for the Auction presented the check at the Annual Survivor Luncheon.

On Sunday we ran in the 3rd Annual Col. John Ripley Memorial Race in Annapolis, MD. Our PS Charities team of 5 showed up ready to run (and walk!) before the 9am start time. It was a brisk fall morning not cold enough to keep us, or the 1,000 other runners, at home.

This past weekend PS Charities hosted the Caribbean Casino Night and Silent Auction benefitting the GWU Breast Care Center Patient’s Assistance Funds at the Carlye Club in Alexandria, VA. A group of us ran last weekend in the GTSI Run/Walk 5K...we weren't out to win in but we had a great time. In the end the event raised just over $40,000 benefiting the Wounded Warriors Project. On June 25, 2011, Matt McKeon, director of ProSol's MO&A division, participated in the Total 200 Bike Ride to raise money for the George Washington University's Breast Care Center Patient Assistance Fund. This was the second year that Matt rode in the event . He covered 202.3 miles in 13 hours 42 minutes. Helping Where We Can

When devastating tornadoes in eastern North Carolina touched down on April 17, 2011, ProSol employees and PS Charities sprang into action. A group of volunteers, led by Maegan Williams (who is VERY awesome!), along with PS Charities, helped displaced citizens and also coordinated with local merchants in the area to provide almost $20,000 worth of new furniture and other housing goods. Raising Money the Happy Hour Way

Last Friday, PS Charities hosted a happy hour in Arlington at The Front Page Bar and Restaurant in support of two teams participating in May's Race for Hope - DC. The race is the largest fundraiser supporting the Brain Cancer community, and takes place every year in DC. This year nearly $2 Million dollars have been raised on pace for a record high.
